What's on My Face #3: Natural Smoky Eye

We all love glam up glitter, colorful, super glam smoky eye looks but time may not always be on your side. With little time on hand, adding those sparkly glitters, rainbow colors or blending out all different shades would be a bit of a problem. So to keep life easier for myself most of the time i would just wear a light all-over-lid shade not just because its fast and simple but also would look done and ready to be glamorous. This look is what i would go for a quick smoky eye look in just under 30 minutes.

One of the most important tips to wear a smoky eyes is to keep the rest of the features clean. Prime with a face primers (YSL light creater cc primer Lavender) that would help your foundation last thought-out the whole time. Apply a foundation (YSL touche éclat radiance BD10) starting from the center of the face and blend outward. Try to just apply a thin layer, use concealer to cover any shown dark-spots or blemish. Usually i would just use a highlighting concealer (YSL touche éclat 1.5) to help with the under eye area. Remember to use a setting powder (the estee edit flash photo powder) to set everything in place. Prime the eyes with a primer (Nars pro prime) will definitely help with how long the eyeshadow is going to last. After purchasing the Charlotte Tilbury look in a palette, i have been using this palette for lots of things. It is a all in one palette that help save lots of time. I have done a whole post on this palette, learn more about it here. Try not to go over-board like i did on shade 3, just keep it simple and clean. Adding brow gel (YSL brow gel) and mascara (Chanel noir) will help tie the whole look together. Lastly finish with a nude color lipstick (Chanel rouge coco Adrienne). Any lip color would fit this look well, but since the focus is on the eyes,  I do tend to just keep it clean and refresh.

Most of the time i would just like to keep things clean and simply. I also would like to try out new makeup looks, stepping out of my comfort zone a bit. Enjoy Reading!

XOXO,
Haishan

    1. I agree, smokey eyes does go better for people with deeper eyes, but the magic thing about makeup is everyone with all different face features can use it and it wash off at the end of the day.

      Thanks for the comment!
